OpenWRT and WPA enterprise?

Can I simply add a WPA-E package to a openwrt device that doesn't already come with it installed? I'm acquiring a temperature@lert wireless device that will send temp/humidity of my server room to me, but it does not come with WPAenterprise as a feature. I need this feature to comply with policy. The device is built with Openwrt(kamikaze) for atheros chipset.
