About the war so who think they know history ( i know answer but do you?) look below?

I believe there were a few (I do not remember how many) who were shot down and survived the crash to be picked up and made POWs later. There were also some who had aircraft problems and could not execute their missions so returned to base to try again. These individuals were treated with scorn by their squad mates who had not been launched on an attack yet. Of course, at the end of the war there were squadrons assembled and ready to launch when the US tired to invade Japan which never happened, so they survived the war.
